Blood Test ReviewBlood Test Review is a written analysis of laboratory results you already have. You upload the report, say why the tests were done, and a doctor writes an analysis with a summary, any results outside the reference range and what they may mean, next steps and how urgent those steps are. It costs 21,90 € and is done in writing only, with no phone call and no video consultation.
A reference range is the band of values the laboratory expects to see in most healthy people for a given test. It is usually set so that around 95 in every 100 healthy people fall inside it, which means that roughly one healthy person in twenty will land just above or below it on any single test. Ranges also differ from one lab to another, because methods and equipment differ, so a value only means something next to the range printed on the same report.
That is why a result marked H or L, or printed in bold, is a prompt to look closer rather than a finding in itself. A slightly low value can matter for one person and mean little for another, depending on age, symptoms, medicines and what the other results show. Reading the numbers in that context is the part of the job the doctor does.
The most useful file is the PDF from the laboratory's patient portal, because it keeps the values, the units and the reference ranges together in one clean document. If you only have a paper printout, photos work too, as long as each page is sharp, fully in frame and readable, including the column with the ranges.
You can upload up to 10 files in PDF, JPG, PNG or WEBP format. Results from the last six months are best. Older results can still be sent, but the doctor may recommend repeating a test before drawing any conclusion from it. The form also asks for the date the tests were taken, which cannot be a date in the future. Blood tests are the main focus, but other laboratory results, such as a urine test or hormone levels, can go into the same request.
You choose one of three reasons: a routine check-up, symptoms you have noticed, or monitoring a condition or a treatment you are already on. The same result reads differently in each case. In a check-up, the main question is whether anything needs attention; with symptoms, whether the results fit with what you are feeling; in monitoring, whether the values are moving in the right direction.
There is also an optional box for your own questions. Use it for whatever is on your mind, for example whether a low ferritin could be linked to tiredness, or whether a liver result is worth repeating. Alongside this, the form takes your personal details with an identity document and asks about long-term conditions, allergies, the medicines you take and pregnancy. Medicines in particular can shift some results.
The analysis is written by a doctor and sent as a PDF with his signature. It follows fixed sections. A summary gives the overall picture. The section on results outside the reference range goes through each of them and explains what it may mean in your situation. Next steps sets out what is sensible from here, for example a repeat test or a visit to your GP.
Finally, the urgency is marked on one of three levels: not urgent, to be discussed at your next check-up; consult a doctor about the results within a week; or contact a doctor urgently or go to the emergency department. The doctor writes the analysis in English. You receive it by email, and it also stays in your patient account, so you can open it again later or share it with your own doctor.
If something is missing or unclear, for example a page of the report or a photo that cannot be read, the doctor asks in writing through the chat in your patient account, and we let you know by email that a message is waiting. He may also decline the request, for instance when the results are illegible or not sufficient to say anything useful about.
Once the analysis is ready, you can ask the doctor one follow-up question in the order chat within 7 days. If, while reviewing your results, the doctor sees a value that needs urgent attention, he does not wait for the full analysis: he writes to you in the chat, advising you to contact a doctor or go to the emergency department urgently.
The analysis is not a diagnosis, and it does not replace a visit, an examination by a doctor or treatment. No prescription or referral is issued as part of this service; those are separate services. We do not carry out or pay for the tests themselves: you have them done wherever you choose and send us the results. There is no express option.
The review costs 21,90 €. The fee covers the medical consultation, not the issuing of a document: the doctor decides after reviewing your form. If he declines for medical or legal reasons, the fee is refunded in full. If he asks you for documentation, you have at least 7 days to provide it and we will remind you before the deadline; if the consultation cannot be completed, the full amount is refunded as well. We do not give a turnaround time.
If you feel unwell, a written review of results is the wrong route. Chest pain, sudden breathlessness, weakness or numbness down one side of the body, fainting or anything else that cannot wait needs 112 or the emergency department, not a form. The same applies to a result that your lab or another doctor has already called critical and asked you to act on.
The analysis is a complement to ongoing care, not a replacement for it. If you have a GP, you can bring the PDF to your next appointment.

Yes. The service is mainly for blood tests, but other laboratory results, such as a urine test or hormone levels, can go into the same request, up to 10 files in total.
You can still send them. Results from the last six months are best, and for older ones the doctor may recommend repeating the test before relying on them.
No. The review is done in writing only. If the doctor needs more information, he writes in the chat in your patient account and we email you when a message is waiting.
